29th October 2009 Earlier in the month World Wide Entertainment released a new HD cooking programme, ‘Cultural Flavours’ (13 x 30’). The new title will complement the company’s established catalogue of over 2000 hours of programming.
World Wide Entertainment, one of Australia’s largest production and distribution companies, created ‘Cultural Flavours’ based on customer demand and global trends.
“The call for food-related content has been huge,” said CEO Jonathan Hutchings. “During the economic down-turn, cooking, as opposed to eating out, has taken off. Food has become the one thing that people can control.”
‘Cultural Flavours’, shot entirely in HD in South Australia, features cuisine from a specific region or country in each episode. The show delves into the history of each dish, as well as the practicality of cooking something similar at home, and also investigates the fresh, seasonal produce available in different regions.
